I have been thinking about your problem. Maybe you suffer from some sort of "Analytical Dyslexia". You look at a chart and your seeing sell when it says buy, short when it says long. This would explain everything.

I have not done my required reading, so i will ask you... is the reason STP is hurting more than others lately due to the recent 'psychological' shift that thin film is the future and silicon is not? ie FSLR and others use thin film etc?
STP is silicon based technology only, am i right?
But every solar (pretty much) has been cut in half, so I don't really think STP has done bad at all.
Probably a tremendous buying opp in STP, IMO.
I've got a little FSLR puts, but I'm hoping for a major rally this afternoon so I can get some more to hedge my position in CSIQ. If FSLR announces great earnings, then great, CSIQ should fly. If not, I want to have a bunch of FSLR puts to protect my downside.

I don't think USO gets to 80 any time soon, but $74 would be my stop so I wouldn't have to worry about that anyway.

I'm pretty much done.....but will be lurking to see any big moves today.
But what gets me is that even with that drop, they are very, very expensive. This company should make a gross profit of about $200-$250 million this year. Yet their market cap is $13 billion!
Now ask yourself this - would you buy a company for $13 billion if it were going to give you around $250 million this year?
There are plenty of other solar companies out there that are cheaper, stronger financially, and have something that sets them apart from the competition. Unfortunately, this company isn’t one of them.

I see this as great for the US Stock market.
let the dollar get stronger and will deepen recession problems. Just my opinion.

As the dollar firms up, it may cause the stock market to dip initially in the short term, but longer term it is very beneficial to the US stock market.
Note that we are very oversold in both the short and intermediate time frame. Unless we're headed for a crash, we should rally.
