your premise has already been disproved....AMED turned around immediately and was up in a messy downday...as well as big defenses and recommendations....word on the street is a hedge fund short at last months expirations and under water PAID Citron to put out negative report and shorted further for more gains...problem is ...on friday it reversed relatively big time and the shorts were screwed....Citron and Fund lost....as well as you.

Hold your cool at times like these and not get out of focus. It's almost comical that the people of the bear (mostly options players) blogs get so worked up with every downtick. They show up during bear plunges and when the bulls come pack them a punch, they then disappear, and a new group with completely different avatars show up on the next plunge.

You don't want to be playin options at times like these.

Can't really say. Last time they beat i think the stock gapped higher but closed down.

I'm just gonna hold my long term position. No quick earnings gamble for me.

scibby, the word on the street is they are in serious trouble....FRE in particular has not been able to raise any capital, no one wants their stock or their debt (non mortgage backed that is)....the only thing people are not sure of is the extent of their losses. i am hearing 20-30 billion at each company....unlike MER or C, they have been holding on to their bad loans....hoping and hoping....

btw, by the street i mean "yahoo message boards" ;-))

thats a good sign... leaders are green today... we should focus on them... big stocks that are within 10% of 52 week highs will do.

i have 17.5 sep calls, and 12.5 jan 09 calls...

whatever you trade... buy in the money so you dont lose all your capital.

it is doing great today, sign that you need to accumulate... another stock i like (but i cannot take a position because i m overloaded in visn calls) is ENER but i would buy now and sell before the earnings... its gonna gain monentum, sell by the 27th August.
