i think you have to pick your battles in this market...for instance I bought AMGN today..and AMGN was up 1.1% in AH..so i hope that holds up despite what the rest of the market does....
I'm not too worried, though, cause IWM at 73 is a great double bottom and GDP 4.9% on Thursday...is sure to start some kind of ruckus

F8 and Beannie see a lot of bad , ugly looking charts...I see those too...and they deserve to go down some more...i also see a lot of support on those same stocks...just one or two days away....
so I still think we get a rally....and I still think qqqq finishes above 51.5 before year end....
which means everybody will owe F8 cases and cases of latte's.....for being non-believers....

What a wild ride today, jumped yer 2nd short on FSLR yesterday @ 236, was lookin good at close, then Cramer.... Jumped AAPL at 187, out at 179 and change, got lucky with FSLR, (man, please don't recommend we short it again.... lol) out at 235 and change, got confirm at 240 - 241, backed up 20 trucks.... man, never seen strength like that in a while.....

At the very least, the moment should help it go higher tomorrow. My goodness, it has only 7 million in the float. This stock was one that was already profiled here. This company CSIQ grows really fast and should be profitable soon. Being in the perfect sector, this stock could eventually get a monster move.

One thing that is good about this format is that if you set the options to newest first, you get to see the newest post (that is not a reply) right there when you refresh. Another good thing is you can place the arrow onto someone's avatar and check 'profile' to see all of their posts.

To not confuse anyone, i suggest you folks do NOT "reply" to a post. Rather, treat it the same way like the old comments, by addressing the person's name and then type away.

I feel that the shorts are trying so hard to cause major panic in this market, but you should remember that once everyone is bearish, that's when to start nimbling on some good names. Short-term we are over-sold and if think that we'll rebound either later today or tomorrow.

Note: FSLR is going to earn 10 bucks in 2010. Thats 5 fold growth in 3 years! This stock should be trading with a P/E over 100. FSLR could be the stock of 2008.

please go back, this is a bit hard to figure out.. new stuff on top you can get used to, but if someone replies to something say zee wrote, the reply shows up way down below... doesn't it? So then you have to keep refreshing AND always scroll down to see if there are any replies?? Old format way better for a blog that constantly changes evey 10 seconds..

Hi Beanie, I'm new here.
I've been watching the QQQQ very closely with RIMM earnings coming later this week.

The Q's gapped up big today from an open today of 50.24 to as low as 49.18 (filled in the gap from yesterday (49.71-50.24) Then they came all the way back to 50.22 with about 40 mins tog before they fell back under 50.00 to close @ 49.89.

What, I see is MASSIVE SUPPORT that is over a month old now
48.65, 48.93 and today's 49.18
Higher Lows.

I'm wondering what everything things the high might be and the low on the Q's before this Friday's option expiration.

Sure seems to be BIG RESITANCE now @ 50.30 area
and under 49.18 (today's low) it would appear 200 DMA
doesn't hold.

Could we see sub 46.60 before Friday on the Q's?
It sure looks possible to me.

What's everyone else think?

I'm loving my position in EMKR right about now - 2500 shares locked & loaded

i'm so glad I decided to "double-down" yesterday around $12 after initially buying in at $12.60

upgrades galore the last 3-4 trading days = Roth upgraded to $18 while Sidoti upgraded to $23/share

EMKR still potentially has 2 more solar contracts that are in the works (one in CA & one in Spain) that will add 1.0-1.5 billion of revenues to the company

if these contracts are announced soon, then $20 is a foregone conclusion & EMKR is looking more like $30/share in quick order

One nice thing about Disqus is that it indents replies and groups them so you don't have to scroll up find the post that the reply applies to.

Z has been screaming buy on CCJ for few days now as it was oversold, now it is way too oversold!

Use stop limit on FSTR at open, CCJ won't need...get your 15% there before 2008 hits you.

Could be the bottom of a bull flag it appears to me also. Moreover, a line from the previous high in Nov thru the high on 30 Nov converges at the bottom of Yesterday's close. The gap and the 20 day is around a .318 fib pivot from the run from 150 to 196-ish. We'll see. Risk/Reward seems a little weak just to get to the gap close. But I'm a glass is half full kinda guy.

Beanie, I totally agree with your accessement of AAPL
It did have a double top @ 177.69 level in it's 30 day range before it busted through that a week or so ago ahead of FED to a new all time high of 196.68.

It sure appears that AAPL unable to find any buyers over yesterday's first low of 186.00 today over 186.00 on open and late into the close. It now appears that as early as tomorrow AAPL could easily test 177.69.

What's your downside taget and time frame?

I'm already done playin with AAPL. We got such a huge move today and it hit the 50dayMA before bouncing. It has to close below the 50dayMA to go lower.

You folks who still own the short, please keep an eye on it.

I rather you start with 10-15k and hopefully you lose all of that, so you know where your mistakes are. Hopefully you get better with your next 15k.

Once you know you can make money consistently in the market, i think you can survive with 40-50k.
