let me understand this..im new sorry. so if the stock i pick is up in pre market and i short it after it reaches a certain high ... it should fade itself is that right? what's the exit strategy if things go wrong? im making this seem complicated.

I seem to be confused with fading the gap and your overnite daytrades because you talk about them alot. Do they emplore the same strategy? Thanks.
The overnite trades advantage is that it's less work for you. You buy or short and afterhours or the next morning you get a profit (if that is the case).
I just too scared to short but if I was not scared, then I would have made money.
Pick your favorite stocks. How many are holding the bag and waiting to sell when you break even?

Anyways, your washout loss is not gone forever. It just gets pushed into a later year.
I would uses these strategies frequently if need to, and not worry too much about the washout.

As noted earlier, the Washington Post yesterday in a front-page story provided a disturbing account about the dumping of toxic waste by Luoyang Zhonggui High-Technology Co., a manufacturer of polysilicon which serves as a supplier to SunTech (STP), China Sunergy (CSUN) and LDK Solar (LDK), and possibly others. The news is a potential black eye for an industry built on its ability to supply clean power. Whether the story will cause trouble for the industry long term is unclear; what is clear is that many stock in the sector fell sharply on Monday

While short selling is an idea, an acquisition or some major news could cause a pop and put you in a disadvantaged position. as for the calls, you have the option of buying it back with the loss being off set by the rise in the stock price. Give this some thought b4 panic selling !

Chinese stocks could be hit badly. That includes solars.
x200 shares = $650
x400 shares =$1300
x1000 shares = $3250
It's why you need to learn how to fade the morning gaps!!!!

STP is an overnite daytrading buy if it can close above 30.
STP & FSLR are overnite longs. Let FSLR pull back if you need to, but it is an overnite daytrading long.
Will hold onto STP.
