GIO---just go to my disqus page---
    http://disqus.com/people/zstock/#comments
that's what i do, every night---so I can double check my notes--
also i get to see what others are saying by clicking on following---like that DUMB cookie (OA he's really smart and tough --though) --but this is one heck of a mental lapse, IMO) over there
trying to short WFR, WHEN EWH is going to skyrocket overnight---

    Hey Z,

if you quit your blog, I can't watch anymore free sci fi from your basement tv......

  • zstock · 1 year ago
SPX --the 400 day weekly is 1197--= 24% correction from Oct highs---that sounds like it's in the ball park
  • Docqb · 1 year ago
    we're going lower than that....
  • zstock · 1 year ago
WELL if i see CME at $320 ( extremely doubtful)--I'm backing in the truck---I wanted to buy NDAQ today-- I think I have time to see a flag style bottom-so next couple of days--
CME is approx $7 below the BB13,2 band--and the last 7 times it's been below the band, it's snapped up significantly higher , right away---hmmm, i just noticed that little factoid---
  • beanieville · 1 year ago
Nice analysis on GOOG, consistent with my thoughts

If you love tech analysis then take a look at CELG .... this one is by the book
  • zstock · 1 year ago
CELG is a short, overnight--pure and simple---
DECLINING eps over the last 8 month's so I can throw out that 75 high, CELG won't get there, too bad I determined this after market close---Now i'll have to place order ---at opening
  • Rax · 1 year ago
Please be careful though on shorting CELG....bullish news that came out yesterday.
  • Winace · 1 year ago
I was right all around today ;-). My blog is going private, if anyone needs me, or wants to check out my new stuff, see me at http://www.channellines.net ! The arbitrage trade long QQQQ/ short IWM is kickin a$$!

    short AAPL here 173.5 - 174....
  • zstock · 1 year ago
BB13,2 middle band says 174.6--but then, what happens if qqqq is up again on Wednesday?
  • vodka_tonic · 1 year ago
im betting it will dip to 173.5 at least at some point.

    today's run was a freak.
  • TV107 · 1 year ago
ur nuts to short goog here
the stock will be over 560 before july 17 earnings

that was a powerful gap up and in no way has to be filled
  • vodka_tonic · 1 year ago
it can go either up or down....but, market trend is down overall.
  • yoyo · 1 year ago
    TV

are you still holding those CME 385 calls? man that was a big drop today.
  • TV107 · 1 year ago
i did get some sold yesterday
but i took a big hit today

first i forgot cme numbers were today
second i got all confused cause markets was rallying huge at 10am but cme started tanking
third i finally saw PR but i stupidly misread the 10am press release...i thought it said positive 4%

this is a terrible technical breakdown
after hours UBS initiated CME with a neutral and a 430 pt...prob wont move stock either way
the only good thing is ndaq and nyx are even more oversold than cme so maybe theyll start recovering and cme will follow
ice monthly numbers are tomorrow i think

i dont know what to do at this point as to my july calls whether i should cut my losses or pray for a recovery

at this point i'll prob need 390-395 on cme after factoring in time decay to break even
i'd say there is a 12-15% chance stock hits those levels in next 2 weeks and maybe thats optimistic
most likely i'll get out at a target price on xlf or s&p
problem is earnings is july 22, tuesday after expiration so im not worried about the several august calls i have left
  • vodka_tonic · 1 year ago
    good luck
  • zstock · 1 year ago
CME 422 is the weekly 200 day---short term target price---minimum slow sto rebound is $25---
TV if you have the 380 calls I'd hold out for at least 20.00--
or shift some into into AUG 420 CME at $420 and the AUG 420 is 20.00---with blow out earnings CME might get back to its 200 day = $550
  • lilme · 1 year ago
    From www.billcara.com forum:

"As if to underline our government's astonishing ability to do nothing as oil climbs above $140 a barrel, the U.S. Bureau of Land management, which manages millions of acres of empty, sunny land in the Southwest, has slapped a moratorium on new applications to put solar collectors on federal land. The agency says it has a backlog of 130 applications and will not accept more before it completes a regional environmental-impact study. The study would take 22 months."

Isreal really doesn't like Iran's nuclear--I can't find any odds of them attacking, but I'm giving it better than 50/50---You won't be catching me shorting USO any time soon for an overnight

  • zstock · 1 year ago
Well USO is usually down on Tuesday's . Isreal's making it hard for USO to correct--Anyway, they won't be attacking any time soon--if at all--
  • bikeguy · 1 year ago
kind of hard to "chill out" with Achmadinijihad in Iran making speeches about "vaporizing" Israel and "death to infidel" (jihad speak for "vaporizing everybody else"). Hang in there, Yao Ming, because Obama has an advisor who says we all need to read and learn from Winnie the Pooh books- no joke, google that-- while militants in Pakistan behead people accused of being U.S. Spies and torch schools for girls. Sad thing is the evil we're fighting now has been there for centuries doing the same evil, only this time, they're being met with force and courage. Yes, we also need to protect the flow of oil, too.

Let the crash begin... and let the alternative energy bull market get on its merry way.
  • beanieville · 1 year ago
i suggest for the next few months, you trade the market with the mindset that we're gonna meltdown and then crash into october.

But we should get one decent rally likely next week.

you are going to get your below 11,000, as per your blog title---
    how'd you see 11,000?
  • zstock · 1 year ago
yeah GIO, keep publishing those SPY numbers---I just found out, SPY Q2 is down 11%--which means---
    my DIA 112.80 won't hold---
I based the number on 8.1%-- Q2 spy loss--
    So , now 112.80 - 3% = 109.41
that's the bottom---23% down from Oct highs, and ( that 11%) is based on current gasoline prices.
  • zstock · 1 year ago
    frankfurt overnight looks mixed---
Pre-market--if it's down, then F truck sales report, and same store sales and GDP, all failed--and probably some other sector got down graded, by some BS analyssys
  • zstock · 1 year ago
DOW 10,941--eventually---that's the bottom---unless gasoline goes even higher.
  • beanieville · 1 year ago

beanie...bullish on rimm and bearish on goog
    thats so mixed up
granted rimm is a beta play on the QQQQ but rimm is busted right now
goog is not busted, only trending lower with the QQQQ
  • beanieville · 1 year ago
yeah, basically you short GOOG on a weak market, long RIMM in a rally mode. The reason for RIMM is that it is now sitting just above the 200dayMA.
  • vodka_tonic · 1 year ago
i agree with beanie...i wouldn't short GOOG just yet, but RIMM should go up in a UP market.
  • beanieville · 1 year ago
GOOG is below both the 200dayMA and the 50dayMA, so RIMM is a much stronger stock for the time being.
  • TV107 · 1 year ago
the 20 on goog has still not crossed the 50 which is all that matters

and within 2-3 days the 20, 50, 200 will converge at around 546 and we'll see how stock reacts then, especially if it is trading at those prices
  • TV107 · 1 year ago
my disappointment is neither europe nor asia seems capable anymore of giving us a significant futures bounce overnight
  • zstock · 1 year ago
hey docqb, you ever been to Winace?

Sector Snap: Chinese solar energy companies fall
Tuesday July 1, 10:45 am ET
Cash flow concerns, higher capital investment requirements drag Chinese solar energy companies

NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares solar cell maker Trina Solar Ltd. fell Tuesday, joining a decline among most other Chinese solar energy companies.
Goldman Sachs analyst Jason Channell, citing "cash flow concerns" in a client note, moved Trina shares to his "Conviction Sell" list from a "Neutral" rating, and slashed his price target to $23 from $38.

Shares of Trina fell $1.15, or 3.8 percent, to $29.49 in morning trading.

Some of Trina's problems afflict much of the Chinese solar sector, he said.

"We believe the industry faces growing concerns over free cash flow generation, due to rising (capital expenditure) requirements, raw material prepayments and a tougher equity funding environment," Channell wrote.

Elsewhere in the sector, Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. fell $2.01, or 5.4 percent, to $35.45; Solarfun Power Holdings Co. Ltd. lost $1.18, or 6.7 percent, to $16.32 and Canadian Solar Inc. gave up $2.06, or 5.1 percent, to $38.13.

China Sunergy Co. Ltd. lost 52 cents, or 6.3 percent, to $7.75; and Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. Ltd. fell 88 cents, or 5.5 percent, to $15.04.

Market like this is where I lose a lot of money. I try to bottom pick only to find the bottom is falling out a little later. Plain #$#%& market. Where is the bottom?
  • beanieville · 1 year ago
Amazing that Bank of America (BAC) used to be at $50 not too long ago.

With it dropping so fast, i gotta assume something really bad is about to hit us.
  • tradeking08 · 1 year ago
FED should have let Bear declare BK in march. That would have helped make the other banks come clean on their books. The fed just delayed the inevitable and gave the big boys to unload the positions with a bounce in Apr/May. I think there will be some high flying blow-ups the way things are looking, C, WB, BAC all look very bad. Not to mention ABK, MBI, CFX, WM etc. This is just plain ugly. I still don't understand how the markets are only 20% lower after all these carnage, amazing. Market should be at '02 lows at this point, really.
  • beanieville · 1 year ago
if that many comes blowin up, yeah, we will see 2002 lows
